Super Premium from Scratch Ice Cream
From the base to the freezer our ice cream is made in house from scratch.
This means we start with milk, cream, sugar & eggs. We use all natural ingredients with a high yolk to dairy ratio. In fact our ice cream could just as easily be regarded as frozen custard. Our ice cream is frozen in small batches using a lightening fast batch freezer insuring optimum freshness & creaminess.
James Beard Inspired Purest Brownies
Brownies baked in their purest form are becoming a lost art in the food industry today. What most restaurants or bakeries call brownies today are really dense chocolate cakes, not brownies. These mock brownies have a longer shelf life and are easier to bake but don’t have the gooey character of a true brownie.
Real brownies must include sugar, eggs & molasses and must not include chemical liveners like baking powder or soda. Chocolate brownies are the most popular flavor of brownie but the true original (often called molasses cakes) is a very simple combination of sugar, flour, eggs & molasses.
Our Chocolate Molasses Brownies are derived from a James Beard recipe that dates to the turn of the century. You’ll notice the presence of the molasses in this chewy, not too sweet brownie.
If you're a brownie edge fan don't worry, we save them every day and dip them in chocolate! Perfect for a light dessert or mid-day snack with a cup of coffee.
If your sweet tooth is really aching we can help you there too. We dip our homemade brownies in chocolate and then coat them with chocolate cream cookies. Ask for the Horryomyganache, or just point if that's easier.
Scratch Baking
The morning starts with a fresh batch of our own sweet dough. This is the foundation for our unforgettable Cinnamon Rolls. Baked fresh every morning in a cast iron biscuit cooker, these individually rolled delights prove they’re worth the extra effort. We make them as fast as we can sell them so if you find out you missed the boat, stick around for 15-20 minutes. You’ll be glad you did!
Our fruit kolaches and Hill Country style sausage kolaches come straight from our bakery made fresh every morning as well. We have Cherry Cream Cheese, Caramel Apple Cream Cheese, Sausage and Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage.
We use a 3-2-1 from scratch pie crust recipe to make beautifully flakey Homemade Pies & our Quiches of the Day.
